Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get involved?
Firstly, in order to make any contribution to our blog section, you’ll need to register with SARugby.com. If you’re already registered, here’s a Noddy badge – you can start adding your bit immediately.
Otherwise, to register, click here
Why can’t post my own stuff?
When you first register, you’ll have very little power. But as you start contributing more and more, you can be bumped up in your level of importance - gradually having more power to edit and eventually post articles of your own.
You’re bumped up by users who’ve given their Sunday afternoons to the site, and have become Team Administrators. These people should be treated with respect. They are the kind of folk that cancelled lunch at a sit-down restaurant to ensure that you get the latest on another Springbok having another piss-up…or punch-up.
Each blog has its own Team Administrators, and your level of importance on a blog will reflect your contribution to that specific blog. You could be a Team Administrator on one blog, and only be able to post comments on another.
Team Administrators control their blogs. They decide what they look like, what news should be shared, and who should be allowed to say what. They generally love the site and will come to your house and boom Ronan Keating music at you if you abuse it.
They have climbed the ranks to where they are now through hard work and a passion for their teams. Respect them, love them and admire them. They were once just like you.
What are the different user-levels?
There are 5 different user levels. Listed in order of importance:
1. Team Administrator – has the ability to complete customize his own blog. He (or she) can post articles, and even promote users to different levels within his team blog.
2. Editor – can do everything the Administrator can, expect promote users. He can post and edit articles.
3. Author – can post stories of his own.
4. Contributor – can submit stories, but they won’t appear on the blog before they have been moderated by a more powerful user.
5. Subscriber – has the ability to comment on existing stories.

Why don’t my comments appear immediately?
Thank all the spammers out there! They are so sophisticated these days that users now need to be confirmed as genuine before they can get posting. It’s a little frustrating - but the Team Admistrators will keep an eye on their blogs to ensure you are posting ASAP.
