Does anyone else feel sorry for Ryan Jones? Poor guy, not playing great when you left your comments, then 5 months on and he plays his best ever at the 2008 6 Nations (easily walk into any World XV) - gets touted for Lions captaincy and then has a dire end to 08 and to make matters worse not only did he not get given the captains armband for the Lions but he does not even get selected.

12 months in rugby is a long, long, long........long, long......

Yip - Ryan Jones is a good call, but as you say, he's not playing well at the moment. He was awesome on the British Lions tour to NZ 18 months ago and certainly possesses the ability! mmmmhhh

Juan seems to be the consensus choice!

I think you definitly need a true blind side, strong runner and tackler to compete with all the power in gareth´s pack. With mcaw fetching you have enough. My choice would be Juan Smith. (maybe ryan jones, but he is not at his best right now).

Ownage - my thinking exactly. Nyanga certainly has the natural game as an opensider, but I was impressed how physically he carried the ball in the recent game against England.

Still, there is someone like Juan Smith or even Danie Rossouw if I really wanted someone big! Those two are also better additional lineout options than Nyanga.

Rocky Elsom is another who is always impressive...

i reckon you need a dynamic powerful runner and tackler....i think yannick nyanga is actually not used as a fetcher by france....but as a third center/loose forward with powerful runs and tackles....i say go for it he's as dynamic and explosive as they come....then again Juan Smith is proving to be one of the best loose forwards in the world at present and expect him to make a huge impact at the world cup....good lineout option as well....

What i mean to say is I think you have old McCaw - so you'll be hundreds on the loose ball. There isn't a blindside with the impact of Collins though.
